Punta Cana has become a regional hub for foreign trade

Jhenery Ramírez Santo Domingo, RD – The Punta Cana International Airport is no longer just a reference point for the tourism sector.

This terminal in the eastern region has also become a regional ‘hub’ for foreign trade, according to the president of the Dominican Association of Customs Agents (ADAA), Franklin Núñez.

According to Núñez, the Punta Cana airport is the third in the Latin American Cargo ranking, being a benchmark in the customs sector. He cited as an example that countries like Colombia are using this province so that their cultivated roses arrive in Russia in less than 48 hours, when before this process lasted 10 days…
