Dominican Republic Announces Tourism Recovery Plan
Dominican Republic Announces Tourism Recovery Plan | On August 25, The President of the Dominican Republic introduced a set of new initiatives in response to Covid-19 to ensure the health, welfare, and safety of tourists and locals. These initiatives will include new internationally certified health protocols that apply to the entire industry, including restaurants and bars. Some of the measures included in this plan are rapid breath tests which will be performed on randomly selected travelers upon arrival, further eliminating the need for a negative COVID-19 test upon arrival starting in the end of September, use of masks in designated areas, social distancing enforcement, no-cost travel insurance, and adapted labor regulations.
